Diagnostic Steps Performed\/Parts Replaced<\/strong>
\nPlugged a scan tool into the vehicle and the DTCs P0327 and P0332 appeared for the Knock Sensors. Both knock sensors were replaced a year ago, including the wiring coming from under the intake. After a year, the vehicle is now returning the same code, P0327- Knock Sensor 1 Signal Short\/Low, and a new code P0332 \u2013 Knock Sensor 2 Signal Short\/Low. However, after checking over all the wiring and sensors, no faults were found.<\/p>\n

Once the question was posted to the SureTrack community, member Ericsautomotive<\/strong> provided great insight. If the parts used to replace the issue a year ago were after-market Knock Sensors, then there\u2019s a good chance those parts need replacing again due to wear and tear.<\/p>\n

Cause<\/strong>
\nAfter-market parts were used to fix the P0327 DTC for Knock Sensor 1 a year ago.<\/p>\n

Correction<\/strong>
\nReplaced both Knock Sensors with OEM parts and now the vehicle is running great with no check engine light.<\/p>\n
