They posed the question to the community, and with the help of fellow community member <strong>Dmckemie12<\/strong> and others, they were able to resolve the issue quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The following Community Fix summarizes the interaction between members of the community that led to the solution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vehicle<\/strong><br \/>\n2017 GMC Terrain SLE 2.4L<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title<\/strong><br \/>\nRadio and touch screen do not work, replaced module.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Complaint<\/strong><br \/>\nCustomer complains that the radio does not work and that the control screen is blank.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diagnostic Steps Performed\/Parts Replaced<\/strong><br \/>\nChecked customer&#8217;s complaint and found that the radio does not operate at all and display touch screen is blank. Checked for communication codes, none. Pulled the radio fuse for 5 minutes and reinstalled. Still doesn&#8217;t work. Unplugged antenna lead to radio and replugged with no change. Can communicate to all modules with scan tool. Can pull up radio data and software versions with scan tool. Verified power and ground on both components previously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Answer from Community Member BMWTECH<\/strong><br \/>\nThe radio is a separate module from the radio\/HVAC controls. I have replaced dozens of the controls, which includes the screen, for different issues.
